description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to an apparatus for use in creating a shower area. In particular, it is about creating floor-level showers. It is also about a shower area that includes such a device.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION There is a great need on the market to make showers as accessible as possible. Such showers are also referred to as floor-level showers because they have no step in the entrance area. The effort for the various trades involved in building a barrier-free shower at a construction site is relatively large. On the one hand, it is about realizing a shower that is permanently watertight. On the other hand, it's also about aesthetic aspects.
There are one or the other newer solution that deal with the creation of barrier-free showers. However, none of these solutions appear to offer a total solution. Therefore, problems can also arise when using these solutions, e.g. come with the permanent tightness.
TECHNICAL TASK TO BE SOLVED Therefore, the technical problem to be solved by the invention is to provide an approach that enables a barrier-free shower to be created on site at the construction site with little effort.
DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION The technical objects of the invention identified above are achieved by an apparatus according to claim 1.
The device of the invention is specially designed for use in creating a shower area, preferably a shower area of a floor-level shower, the shower area adjoining a horizontal floor area on at least one side and comprising an inclined shower floor.
In the transition area between the horizontal floor area and the sloping shower floor there is a wedge-shaped step which delimits the sloping shower floor at least on one side. Water can be drained along the sloping shower floor. The device is characterized in that it has an L-shape with at least two legs in the horizontal plan view in the installed state, a first of the two legs comprising a first flange which in the installed state has rests on the horizontal floor area, [0010] - wherein this first leg comprises a vertical surface which at least partially covers the wedge-shaped step, and - [0011] - wherein this first leg comprises a second flange which, when installed, rests on the sloping shower floor.
ADVANTAGEOUS EFFECTS The most important advantage of the invention is that a floor-level shower can be created easily, cleanly and quickly by using the device according to the invention.
In order to be able to realize showers of different sizes, preference is given to different

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS In this patent application certain terms are used, the interpretation of which should not be limited to the specifically chosen term. Rather, these terms refer to the general concept behind it.
Advantageous embodiments of the invention are described below, which are exemplary embodiments. These include both different designs of the overall invention, as well as assemblies and individual parts of the invention. Basically, the assemblies and individual parts of the various embodiments described can be combined with one another, or the assemblies and individual parts of individual embodiments can be replaced by the assemblies and individual parts of other embodiments. The combinations formed here may require minor adaptations which are familiar to a person skilled in the art and are therefore not described further, for example in order to enable the assemblies and individual parts to interact or interlock.
Different embodiments are shown in the figures. The embodiments and their components are provided with an index. The device 1 of the first embodiment is designated 1.1. If reference is generally made to one of the components, the corresponding reference number without an index is used.
FIG. 1A shows a perspective view of a first embodiment of the device 1 according to the invention. This device is designated 1.1.
The device 1 is designed in all embodiments for use in creating a shower area 2. This is preferably about the shower area 2 of a floor-level shower. The shower area 2 comprises at least on one side a horizontal floor area 9, which is indicated in FIG. 1A by a dashed border. The horizontal floor area 9 borders on an inclined shower floor 10, as shown in FIG. 1A. In the transition area between the horizontal floor area 9 and the inclined shower base 10, a wedge-shaped step 11 results. Due to the inclined inclination of the shower base 10, water can be supplied to an outlet 3.
The device 1 has in all embodiments in the horizontal plan view in the installed state an L-shape which has at least two legs 4, 5. FIGS. 1A and 1B show an L-shaped embodiment with the two legs 4.1, 5.1.
A first of the two legs 4.1 comprises a first flange 6.1, which in the installed state rests on the horizontal floor area 9, as shown in FIG. 1A. This first leg 4.1 comprises a vertical surface 7.1, which at least partially covers the wedge-shaped step 11 of the (sub) floor. The first leg 4.1 further includes a second flange 8.1, which rests on the inclined shower base 10 in the installed state. The two flanges 6.1 and 8.1 do not run parallel to one another, since the flange 6.1 is horizontal and the flange 8.1 is inclined.
The device 1 is preferably rigid in all embodiments. In this case, the device 1 is preferably made of metal and / or plastic. In such a rigid embodiment, the device 1 inherently holds its shape.
The device 1 can, however, comprise at least partially flexible strips or elements in all embodiments. Embodiments are preferred in which e.g. the vertical surface 7.1, which covers the wedge-shaped step 11 of the (sub) floor, consists of an aesthetically pleasing and robust material. The other elements (e.g. flanges 6 and 8) can e.g. be made of a flexible, strip-shaped material that e.g. can be glued to the vertical surface 7.1.
The embodiment of Figures 1A and 1B is specially for wall-to-wall installation e.g. laid out in the corner of a bathroom.
